Beads of Joy

I made a set of family Rosary beads for a couple close friends and cousins this Christmas. I was able to capture two of the four ladies' expression as they opened their personalized gift.
It was such a joy to share these special gifts with them.

Stitch Markers for Christmas

Every year I like to give each of my knitting buddies a token Christmas gift. Years past I have given such gifts as: cupcakes in jars, breads, cookies, and candy bars decorated like snowmen. This year, I made stitch markers for each of them.

I made two different sizes; one to fit a smaller size needle and one for a larger needle.

They were fun and quick to make; I sure hope they like them!

Pop top Mittens Adult Size

I enjoyed knitting this pattern so much, after making two children size pair, I decided to adapt the pattern for an adult size pair.  They fit me perfectly, but they are a gift, so perhaps I will knit another pair for me.

The pattern is from SSKnits and is easy and well written.

Advent Scarf 2014

Every year there is a mystery KAL  through Revelry for an Advent scarf.  When a knitter signs up to be part of the KAL directions for a section of the scarf is sent each morning starting December 1, and if knitted, by Christmas the knitter will have created a beautiful sampler type scarf.  This year I decided to accept the challenge.

Scarf and Pop Top Mittens

Miss A.  really liked the swirl hat I knit for her and asked if I could make "pop top" mittens and a scarf to match. Of course ....

I always wanted to try mittens that fold back into fingerless, but thought they would be difficult. To my surprise, they were easy and fun to make.
